day excursion to Melk - the most beautiful part of the Danube Valley.
Here you will have an interior visit of the baroque Benedictine Abbey.
There is the opportunity for lunch in the Abbey restaurant at your
own expense, before your boat trip through the Wachau. (Boat ride operates
from April to October) This is an unforgettable trip through the romantic
Danube Valley with it vineyards and ruins. The charming town of Krems
and the medieval village of Duernstein are also on your tour. The tour
ends back in Vienna at the State Opera.

In
Eisenstadt, we visit the Esterhazy Palace, once the residence of the
Hungarian Princes, and many years the home of the composer Joseph Haydn.
After a short walk through the old town, we drive through the countryside
of Lake Neusiedl, an area on the UNESCO list of world heritage sights.
In Rust, the city of storks, you have the possibility for lunch accompanied
by Gipsy Music. Enjoy an impressing boat cruise on Lake Neusiedl, which
is Europe's largest steppe lake and a unique paradise for birds on
the Austrian-Hungarian border. The tour ends at the Opera House.

Travel through the Burgenland to the Hungarian border, Hegyeshalom,
then on to Budapest, in
time for lunch and maybe some shopping.
On your Budapest City tour, see Mathias Church,
Fisherman's Bastion, House of Parliament and Heroes Square. Return
to your Vienna hotel.

Travel through
the glowing Bohemian landscape to Prague in time for lunch and maybe
some shopping.
On your city walking tour, see Wenceslas Square, the Cathedral,
Old Town Hall and Charles Bridge. Drive on
to Hradschin (Royal
Palace), St. Vitus Cathedral and Golden Lane Promenade. Return
to your Vienna Hotel.

Enroute to Mozart's birth
town, travel through the beautiful Salzkammergut landscape of mountains
and numerous lakes to arrive in Salzburg for lunch. In the afternoon,
stroll through the old city and and see the Cathedral, Festival
Hall, St. Peter's Abbey Church, and tomb of Mozart's sister Nannerl.
See Mozart's birthplace in the Getreidegasse and visit the gardens
of Mirabell Palace for a superb view of Hohensalzburg Fortress. Return to Vienna.

Travel by Eurolines coach to Bratislava, where you will be met on arrival by a local guide and conducted on a 1 hour walking tour. Highlights include a visit to the Castle and the picturesque Old Town. Following lunch, (included in your tour) you will have time to shop or discover Bratislava at your leisure. Return to Vienna by high-speed catamaran through the Danube wetlands.
