Day 1 Vienna
Transfer by private car from Vienna Airport or rail station to your city hotel. After check-in, take time to stroll through the historic heart of the city. Overnight in Vienna.
Day 2 Vienna
After breakfast depart on a guided morning sightseeing tour of the city. See Ringstrasse and other sights of the city. Your tour includes a visit to Schönbrunn Palace. In the afternoon you have your own free time to explore Vienna. Enjoy either coffee and cake at the Cafe Sacher or the option to visit the House of Music. Enjoy lunch at the famous Griechenbeisl Inn! Overnight in Vienna.
Day 3 Vienna - Salzburg
This morning transfer by own arrangements to Vienna Westbahnhof rail station and depart for Salzburg. This journey will take approx. 4 hours and you will see some beautiful scenery, before arriving in Salzburg. Time on your own followed by Mozart Dinner Concert at Stiftskeller St. Peter Restaurant. Overnight in Salzburg.
Day 4 Salzburg
This morning enjoy a “Sound of Music” sightseeing tour (4 hours). Tour highlights include some of the original locations used in the film: Leopoldskron Palace, the Pavilion, Nonnberg Convent, Lake Wolfgang and the wedding church in Mondsee. In the afternoon time you will have some time to explore Salzburg. Overnight in Salzburg.
Day 5 Salzburg - Innsbruck
After breakfast, transfer by own arrangements to Salzburg railway station for today’s journey to Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol. The journey (which lasts approx. 2 hours), takes you through some spectacular mountain scenery. Nestling snugly in the Inn Valley, Innsbruck is surrounded on all sides by majestic mountains. Twice home to the Winter Olympic Games, the city combines ancient Tyrolean tradition with all the vitality of a modern city. Overnight in Innsbruck.
Day 6 Innsbruck
One of the most famous Austrian exports is the world-famous crystal glass manufactured by Swarovski. This morning take the bus from the centre of the city direct to the nearby town of Wattens and the Swarovski factory. (The journey takes approx. 30 minutes). Visit Swarovski’s “Crystal World”, both a museum and showroom in one, with dazzling crystal collections and an insight into the unique glass-making process. Return to Innsbruck by public bus service. Overnight in Innsbruck.
Day 7 Innsbruck - Vienna (approx. 5 hrs)
Board the train at Innsbruck Railway station for the return journey to Vienna. Arrive Vienna in the afternoon. Transfer to your hotel by own arrangements. Overnight in Vienna.
Day 8 Depart Vienna
Transfer by private car from your hotel to Vienna Airport or rail station for your departure flight or alternatively extend your stay in Austria.
